Winter in Yellowstone Photography Tour – 2023
Yellowstone winter photography tour review: “I just completed my six-day photography workshop at Yellowstone National Park with nature photographer David C Schultz who owns Wasatch Photo Tours. My experience on every level far exceeded my expectations and I learned so much from David. I can’t say enough about David’s Yellowstone Photo tour. He only allows two photographers per trip which is genius. I saw so many 15-30 passenger vehicles disgorging photographers all carrying tripods and monster lenses. Talk about a logistical nightmare”: Bill M. Read more…

AM INTERESTED IN THE WINTER 2020 YELLOWSTONE TOUR.
THE FIRST PARAGRAPH SAYS IT IS TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS, BUT THE DISCLAIMER AT THE END SPEAKS OF CANCELLING IF THERE ARE NOT AT LEAST FOUR PEOPLE. WHICH IS IT?
ALSO, I SHOOT WITH CANON AND OLYMPUS. I KNOW MY WAY AROUND BOTH CAMERAS AND DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE AN ISSUE.
Hello Jennifer
Thanks for the interest in joining me during one of my 2020 Winter in Yellowstone Tours. Thanks also for pointing out the error regarding the number of participants. I’ve made the correction to the disclaimer which now shows the number as 2. There are times when I might take more than 2 guest on one of these tours but that is ONLY at the request of the participant, say a group of 3 friends that want to take the tip together.
Absolutely no problem regarding the brand of camera gear used! Longer telephoto lenses of 400mm or longer are strongly recommended.
Hope this helps!
Hi
I would like to book for one of the January 2020 Yellowstone trips but it appears that the ‘Book Now’ button is for 2019. Can you clarify/help please.
David
Hi David
Thanks for pointing out the date issue.I’ve updated the page and button. Please contact me if you have any other questions or problems booking the date you wish.
Take care, David
Just paid the deposit on Yellowstone 2021, but it didn’t specify the date. There’s only one available. Feb 7, 2021. That’s the one I wish to go on. looking forward to it.
Hi Allan
Just saw your deposit come in as I was about to reply. Got you down for Feb. 7, 2021 Yellowstone tour! Sorry for the date booking confusion! Will send you an email and receipt.
David
Do you have any tours that are not quite so long?
Thanks, Sheri
Hi Sheri
Not sure if my email reply got to you as I am having problems at that end.
I only offer the 4 days of shooting in the Park as scheduled since I do not live in the area so it would be too costly to schedule anything shorter in Yellowstone.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for the interest. I hope you get the opportunity to see Yellowstone in the winter. Pretty spectacular!
Hello,
I am interested in the Christmas tour 2023. I wasn’t able to find a submit interest link or even cost info.
Can you please contact me with that info? I’d appreciate it greatly!
Thanks for the interest in the Christmas 2023 Yellowstone tour. Sorry you had trouble finding the information. The cost and Book Now button can be found either on the right side column on a desktop or on a mobile device it is toward the bottom of the page. I’ll reply to your email as well.
The cost is $6200 per person and the tours are limited to 2 people. I do give a discount of $500 off the combined total if you’re booking for two people and sharing a room.
At the moment the Book Now button may say for 2022 but I’ll get that changed today.
Hope that helps. Please watch for an email, perhaps in your spam folder. :-/
David
Happy New Year, I would like to book for two people for Winter 2023, Just not sure which dates are available. Also we are camping in Tetons May wondering if I could book a day with you for the Tetons if possible
Happy New Year to you as well! Thanks for writing and for your interest in a Yellowstone tour 2023.
On the page for the Yellowstone tours, you’ll see the tentative 2023 dates posted. I will not have final confirmation from the snowcoach company until around the end of February. I’m happy to book you into one of those posted time slots and if dates change a bit I will update you. Jan. 6-11 or Jan. 16-21 would be good options to consider.
I actually live in Utah most of the year so the only Teton trips I offer are multi-day private tours. It would basically be 4 days minimum plus expenses. You might be better off contacting a friend of mine. I’ll email you his contact info and will copy this whole message to you as well.
Hope that helps!
David
