Park City Photography lessons or tours are offered all year. If you’ll be visiting the area, then you may wish to spend time exploring the backcountry with your guide and award-winning nature photographer, David C. Schultz. David is now offering half-day private photography lessons and tours in the beautiful Heber Valley and surrounding Wasatch and Uinta mountains near Park City, Utah.

As a thirty-five year resident, David‘s wealth of knowledge regarding the perfect photography locations, viewpoints, and timing is sure to make your guided tour or personal photography lesson a highlight of your visit to the Park City area. The back-road tours are designed to be of interest to non-photographers as well as beginners or advanced photographers. Cell phone shooters are welcome!

Park City photography lessons:

David offers private photography instruction, both in the field as well as at your location. Lessons range from assisting the beginner with selecting what photo equipment to purchase, or setting up a new system, to helping with one-on-one instructions on location in the beautiful Wasatch or the Uinta Mountains surrounding Park City. Depending on the conditions, what you would like to work on, and the time of year, a location will be selected in either of the nearby mountain ranges. Also, David can help you with your post-processing skills, whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom.

Cost and Details for photography lessons and tours:

A half day, usually starting in the morning, is $400 for one person. Each additional person is an extra $100. Call or email if you have any questions. Also, please see our Trip Advisor reviews.

Along with actual photography lessons David conducts back-road tours in the Wasatch Mountains or the Uinta Mountains, all a short drive from Park City and the Heber Valley, when conditions allow. Two tours are available daily, each lasting from 4-5 hours depending on what is encountered along the way. Times are selected for best light and photography opportunities but this can be adjusted to meet your needs.

Location:

These photo tours begin and end in the town of Heber City, which is about twenty minutes from Park City. If you do not have a car, many local Park City resorts often have transportation options for you, and Uber, Lyft, or other shuttle services may be available.

Come prepared:

Mornings in the lower valleys during the winter can be especially cold, so please come prepared. The vehicle is always nearby, but we want you to be as comfortable as possible.
