I just completed my six day photography workshop at Yellowstone National Park with David Schultz who owns Wasatch Photo Tours. My experience on every level far exceeded my expectations and I learned so much from David. I can’t say enough about David’s workshop/tour. He only allows two photographers per trip which is genius. I saw so many 15-30 passenger vehicles disgorging photographers all carrying tripods and monster 800mm lenses. Talk about a logistical nightmare. Read more…

Just a short note to express my thanks and gratitude to you for the wonderful trip we shared to SE Utah in late April. Your patience with me as a relative novice photographer and willingness to listen and teach contributed to the week being an enormously rewarding experience. As you might recall, my primary goal was to learn how to take photographs rather than just pictures. As a result of your guidance, I feel that I am well on my way to achieving that goal. As I have shared the stories and photographs with friends and family, many have marveled at elements in my shots such as composition, leading lines, subject, etc. My response is, yes, I took the shot and worked on the photographs in post, but I also had an awesome teacher leading me toward those elements. I hope you are back safely from your trip to the Midwest and enjoying some free time at home in your most beautiful part of the world

This was a trip meant for 2 but he was able to accommodate 4 of us… He was willing to be flexible with the schedules if it meant getting the shot.
